• My name is Mrs. Sarah Jancura and I am the Band Director for East Knox Local Schools. For the past five years, I have been the elementary music teacher and am excited to step into this new roll!

    I am originally from Hilliard, Ohio which is 20 minutes west of Columbus. I attended Capital University and received my Bachelor's in Music Education and Horn performance in 2013. I spent three years as the band director for Barnesville EVSD, and then moved to Mount Vernon with my husband. I completed my Master's in Music Education through Kent State University in 2020 online.

    I enjoy playing my primary instrument, French horn, in my free time for the Knox County Symphony. Outside of school, I enjoy cross-stitching, playing with my three cats, trying new restaurants with my husband, and occasionally playing some videogames.
